Have an ICE Christmas

December 23, 2010

Having consulted with volunteers about the state of the ground at Alice Holt, we have decided that it would be too icy to cycle safely, so we are calling off todays Inclusive Cycling. It is most frustrating as I, for one, am getting stir crazy and can’t wait to get back out there.

We are planning to be back after Christmas at Alice Holt on Thursday 13th January and Queen Elizabeth Country Park on 10th. Heres hoping that we will not have too many cancellations in the new year.

After Christmas it would be a very good idea to bring gloves, thick socks and anything else which will help with the cold weather, but don’t let it put you off. There is nothing better than getting out in the fresh air to burn off some of those Christmas calories and remind yourself of the wonderful world we live in.

See you soon.

The weather again!

December 19, 2010

Tomorrow, the 20th December, looks like it will be cold at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Knowing that it is always a little colder there than the surrounding area, I am cancelling the cycling.
We will be back (weather permitting) on January 10th.
Have a great Christmas and a tremendous new year!
Anyone planning to come to Alice Holt on Thursday, pease check the blog for an update nearer the time.

Queen Elizabeth Cycling

December 6, 2010

Although the snow has gone (in the main), the ground is very icy. We have decided to cancel cycling today for safety reasons.

If you are a regular, please let us know in advance if you are intending to come cycling on Mondays over the winter. Phone Sarah on 07775595998 to ensure that we have the cycles ready for you. If we get no calls we will not be in attendance in order to avoid the volunteers getting very cold!

Snow, snow, glorious snow!

December 2, 2010

Its snowing! This may go down as the understatement of the year but it needs to be said.
There will be no cycling today as I don’t think anyone will be able to get to Alice Holt, even if it is open.
My advice- wrap up warm, stay at home and conserve your energy until next session!
